Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

1. About the service

Gregor ("we", "us", "our") is an AI-curated biotechnology intelligence newsletter published at gregor.bio and operated by Dario Pirola (gregor@gregor.bio).

By subscribing to the newsletter or accessing the subscriber portal, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. The newsletter service

Gregor delivers curated summaries of biotechnology research articles to subscribers by email. Content is selected and summarised using automated AI tools and editorial judgment.

We reserve the right to change the publication schedule, content focus, or delivery frequency at any time. We will inform active subscribers of material changes by email where reasonable.

3. Subscriptions and unsubscribing

Subscription is free. You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email or through the subscriber portal. Unsubscription takes effect immediately.

We use a double opt-in process: you will receive a confirmation email before your subscription becomes active. This confirms your email address and records your consent under GDPR.

4. Portal access

Access to the subscriber portal requires authentication via Google or Facebook OAuth. You are responsible for the security of your login credentials. We are not liable for unauthorised access resulting from your failure to keep credentials secure.

5. Content and intellectual property

Newsletter content produced by Gregor — including AI-generated summaries, editorial introductions, and article selections — is owned by Gregor and protected by copyright. You may share individual items for personal, non-commercial purposes with attribution.

Summaries are derived from third-party scientific publications. Original articles remain the intellectual property of their respective authors and publishers. Links to source material are provided in each newsletter.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

The newsletter is provided for informational purposes only. Content is AI-assisted and may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information. Nothing in the newsletter constitutes medical, financial, legal, or investment advice.

We make no warranty — express or implied — regarding the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any content. Use of the service is at your own risk.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Gregor and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Italy. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Italy.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes have been published constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify active subscribers of material changes by email.
